Target Information
Deubiquitinase that mediates deubiquitination of target proteins such as BECN1, MITF, SKP2 and USP10 and is involved in processes such as autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD).
It participates in a regulatory loop controlling autophagy and p53/TP53 levels by stabilizing PIK3C3/VPS34-containing complexes through BECN1 deubiquitination.
Recruited by nuclear UFD1, it regulates ERAD via deubiquitination of SKP2 and UBL4A.
Also stabilizes SIAH2 independently of deubiquitinase activity.
Preferentially cleaves Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin chains and may cleave ISG15 in vitro.
