The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is used as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Tested on normal human peripheral blood cells and mouse splenocytes
• Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• eFluor® 506 can be excited with a violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 506 nm.
• Recommended filter: 510/20 band pass filter or equivalent.
• Ensure instrument compatibility with this fluorochrome.
• Excitation: 405 nm

Target Information

Isotype control antibodies act as negative controls to distinguish non-specific background signal from specific antibody binding.

• Background staining can result from Fc receptor binding, non-specific interactions, or autofluorescence.
• Isotype controls are most commonly used in flow cytometry, but also applicable in ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift assays.
• Controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody.
• For directly labeled primaries, use an isotype control conjugated with the same fluorochrome.
