Product Specific Information

This monoclonal mouse IgG2a antibody (clone eBM2a) is used as an isotype control for mouse IgG2a antibodies.

Applications Reported:
Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Validated by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells and mouse splenocytes.
Use the isotype control at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Fluorochrome Information:

• eFluor® 506 is excited with the violet laser line (405 nm)
• Emits at 506 nm
• Recommended detection filter: 510/20 band pass (or equivalent)
• Ensure instrument compatibility with this fluorochrome

Target Information

Mouse IgG2a is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens.
It plays a key role in adaptive immune responses, including:

• Opsonization
• Complement activation
• Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity

It is also involved in immune regulation such as T cell activation and B cell inhibition.
Mouse IgG2a is widely used in research and diagnostics (ELISA, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry) and in therapeutic research (immunotherapy, vaccine development).
