Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain an antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TGF-beta is a ubiquitously expressed cytokine that signals through the Smad protein family to regulate processes such as embryonic development and tumorigenesis.
This signaling is negatively regulated by Ski and the related protein SnoN. SnoN binds to Smad proteins, preventing their phosphorylation and subsequent DNA binding, thereby inhibiting downstream gene transcription.
SnoN is mainly located in the nucleus in cancer tissues or cells, but in the cytoplasm in normal tissues or primary epithelial cells.
