Target Information
MIG, also known as CXCL9, is a T-cell chemoattractant inducible by gamma interferon and belongs to the CXC chemokine family. The gene is mapped to 4q21. Chemokines, including CXCL9, influence T-cell activation, angiogenesis, and HIV infection. Unlike most CXC chemokines that attract neutrophils, MIG and INP10 are chemotactic for lymphocytes and inactive in neutrophils.
