Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
DNA associates with histones and nuclear proteins to form chromatin, which undergoes remodeling through acetylation and deacetylation processes that regulate transcription.
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) 1–9 are involved in transcriptional silencing. HDAC9 and HDAC9a are alternatively spliced isoforms, both retaining catalytic activity and repressing myocyte enhancer-binding factor 2-mediated transcription.
HDAC9 and HDAC9a are expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, kidney, placenta, and pancreas.
