For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step.

Target Information

The progesterone receptor (PR) is a member of the steroid family of nuclear receptors that mediates the physiological effects of progesterone, crucial for reproductive events such as pregnancy maintenance.
PR exists as two forms:

• Form A (94 kDa)
• Form B (120 kDa)

PR-B is transcriptionally active, responsible for gene activation in endometrial maintenance and ovulation inhibition.
PR-A lacks 165 amino acids at the N-terminus, exposing an inhibitory domain that represses steroid hormone transcriptional activity.
Inactive PgR forms a multiprotein complex with heat shock proteins and immunophilins. Upon progesterone binding, it undergoes conformational change, dimerizes, and binds to progesterone response elements (PRE), initiating transcription.
A null mutation in the PGR gene results in reproductive abnormalities.
