For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Mesothelin was originally identified as a differentiation antigen in mesotheliomas, ovarian cystadenocarcinomas, and pancreatic adenocarcinomas. It is a GPI-anchored, cell-surface glycoprotein secreted by mesothelial cells.
Although normally expressed at low levels in pleural, pericardial, and peritoneal mesothelial cells, aberrant expression occurs in various cancers, including endometrioid uterine adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinomas of the esophagus, stomach, lung, and cervix.

Proteolytic cleavage of Mesothelin yields a soluble fragment known as megakaryocyte potentiating factor (MPF), which can stimulate megakaryocyte colony formation. Both Mesothelin and MPF are implicated in tumorigenesis, promoting tumor cell proliferation, migration, anchorage-independent growth, and metastasis.
