Product Specific Information
The antibody LIME-06 was raised against an intracellular fragment corresponding to amino acids 141–295 of human LIME, a 30 kDa Lck-interacting transmembrane adaptor expressed by T cells.
Target Information
LIME (Lck-interacting molecule) is a 30 kDa double-palmitoylated protein with an unusually basic cytoplasmic domain, expressed by T cells. Upon ligation of CD4 or CD8 T cell coreceptors, LIME is phosphorylated by Src-family kinases and associates with Lck and Fyn kinases, as well as their negative regulator Csk.
Csk-mediated phosphorylation of the C-terminal negative-regulatory tyrosine of LIME-associated Lck can increase enzymatic activity compared with the total Lck pool, making LIME a positive regulator of TCR-dependent T cell signaling. Under certain conditions, LIME may also mediate inhibitory signals.
