Target Information
The MCM5 protein is structurally similar to the CDC46 protein from S. cerevisiae, which is involved in the initiation of DNA replication. MCM5 is a member of the MCM family of chromatin-binding proteins and interacts with other family members. It is upregulated during the transition from G0 to G1/S phase of the cell cycle and may play a role in cell cycle regulation.
