Target Information
The MCM5 protein is structurally similar to the CDC46 protein from S. cerevisiae, which is involved in the initiation of DNA replication. It belongs to the MCM family of chromatin-binding proteins and interacts with at least two other members of this family. MCM5 is upregulated during the G0 to G1/S phase transition and may play a role in cell cycle regulation.
