Target Information
XRCC1 (X-ray cross complementing factor-1) plays a key role in DNA base excision repair. It is a 70 kDa protein that interacts with DNA repair enzymes such as PARP, DNA Ligase III, and DNA polymerase beta. XRCC1 contains a BRCT domain, initially identified in BRCA1, which mediates protein-protein interactions with DNA ligase III-alpha.
