Product Specific Information

The 2H7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD20, a 33–36 kDa transmembrane protein expressed by developing and mature B cells but not plasma cells. CD20 may play a role in B-cell activation.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
• Fluorochrome Information: Alexa Fluor® 700 emits at 723 nm, excited by red laser (633 nm). Use 685 LP mirror and 710/20 filter.

Target Information

CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and most malignant B cells, a subpopulation of T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells. It regulates calcium conductance, cell cycle, and B-cell proliferation. CD20 is associated with lipid rafts and serves as a therapeutic target for B-cell depletion in malignancies.
Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
