Target Information
ATG3 (APG3)는 APG8 지질화에 관여하는 광범위하게 발현되는 결합 효소로, 자가포식(autophagy)의 시작 단계에 필수적인 역할을 합니다. 자가포식은 세포 단백질을 자가포식소체-리소좀 경로를 통해 분해하는 과정으로, 정상적인 성장 조절에 중요하며 종양 세포에서는 결함이 있을 수 있습니다. 또한, 영양 결핍 상태에서 세포 내 영양소 보존 및 세포질 구성 요소의 정상적인 회전에도 관여합니다. 이 과정은 TOR (Target of rapamycin)에 의해 음성 조절되며, ATG3는 Atg8-phosphatidylethanolamine (Atg8-PE) 결합체 형성을 촉매하여 자가포식체 형성의 초기 단계에서 E2 유사 효소로 기능합니다.
