Antibody detects endogenous levels of PLCG2 only when phosphorylated at Tyr1197.
Target Information
Phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PLC) plays a crucial role in receptor-mediated signal transduction by generating inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate and diacylglycerol from phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate.
There are multiple mammalian PLC isozymes, including PLCβ1–β4, PLCγ1–γ2, PLCδ1–δ2, and PLCε.
PLCδ isoforms function in calcium signaling and are implicated in various cellular processes and diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and gastric cancer.
PLCδ2 expression may serve as a marker of gastric malignant transformation.
