Product Specific Information
Antibody detects endogenous levels of PRC1 only when phosphorylated at Thr481.
Target Information
This gene encodes a protein involved in cytokinesis. PRC1 is highly expressed during the S and G2/M phases of mitosis and decreases dramatically when cells enter G1 phase. It localizes to the nucleus during interphase, associates dynamically with mitotic spindles during mitosis, and concentrates at the mid-body during cytokinesis. PRC1 is a substrate of several cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) and is essential for polarizing parallel microtubules and organizing contractile ring assembly.
