For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Aldh3A2 is a member of the aldehyde dehydrogenase superfamily, a group of NAD(P)(+)-dependent enzymes that oxidize a wide range of aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes. These enzymes play a key role in detoxifying aldehydes produced by alcohol metabolism and lipid peroxidation.
Aldh3A2 catalyzes the oxidation of long-chain aliphatic aldehydes to fatty acids. Mutations in the Aldh3A2 gene cause Sjögren-Larsson syndrome, an inherited neurocutaneous disorder characterized by ichthyosis, mental retardation, and spastic diplegia. The symptoms are thought to result from abnormal lipid accumulation in the membranes of the skin and brain or defective eicosanoid metabolism.
