This peptide corresponds to a 16 amino acid sequence near the carboxy terminus of human RRAS2.
PEP-1561 can be used as a blocking peptide with the polyclonal antibody PA5-34518.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with an equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37°C.

Target Information

RRAS2 is involved in activating mutations, and the overexpression of classical Ras subfamily members (K-RAS, N-RAS, and H-RAS) has been widely investigated as a key event in the development of human cancers.
The RRAS subfamily of Ras-related proteins includes RRAS1, RRAS2 (TC21), and RRAS3 (M-Ras), showing overall amino acid identity of 55–60% with the classical Ras subfamily (H-Ras, K-Ras, and N-Ras).
RRAS2 is a small GTP-binding protein of the Ras superfamily of GTPases. It may transduce growth inhibitory signals across the cell membrane, exerting its effect through an effector shared with Ras proteins. RRAS2 has high oncogenic potential, and overexpression or mutations have been reported in several tumor tissues and cell lines.
