PEP-1567 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34524.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37°C.
Target Information
AS160 (TBC1D4) is a GTPase-activating protein for RAB2A, RAB8A, RAB10, and RAB14.
The isoform 2 version of this protein promotes the insulin-induced glucose transporter SLC2A4/GLUT4 translocation at the plasma membrane, increasing glucose uptake.
Mutations in this gene are associated with Diabetes mellitus, non-insulin-dependent, type 5 (NIDDM5).
