Product Specific Information

The W6/32 monoclonal antibody reacts with human major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I antigens (HLA-A, -B, -C). These antigens, associated with beta 2-microglobulin, are expressed by all human nucleated cells and are central to cell-mediated immune response and tumor surveillance.
W6/32 recognizes a non-polymorphic epitope shared among HLA-A, -B, and -C loci and immunoprecipitates both 43 kDa and 11–12 kDa chains. Cross-reactivity is observed in baboon, rhesus, and cynomolgus monkey.

HLA-class I major histocompatibility (MHC) antigens are intrinsic membrane glycoproteins expressed on nucleated cells, noncovalently associated with beta2-microglobulin. They present foreign peptides for recognition by cytotoxic T cells, playing key roles in antiviral and antitumor defense.
HLA-class I molecules include HLA-A, HLA-B, and HLA-C.
HLA and MHC antibodies are critical in Immunopeptidomics, aiding in the identification and characterization of neoantigens via LC-MS/MS.
