For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CRP (C-reactive protein) is a major cyclic, pentameric acute-phase protein composed of five identical, noncovalently bound, nonglycosylated subunits. Each subunit consists of 206 amino acids with a molecular weight of 24 kDa.
CRP is synthesized in the liver and its plasma concentration increases markedly during inflammation. It initiates the classical complement cascade, binds to nuclear components such as chromatin and histones, and plays a key role in innate immunity.
CRP acts as an opsonin and activator of monocytes/macrophages, facilitating pathogen elimination through humoral and cellular effector systems. Elevated CRP levels are associated with increased risk of hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
