For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
To use this carrier-free antibody for conjugation experiments, we strongly recommend performing another round of desalting (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CRP (C-reactive protein) is a major cyclic, pentameric acute phase protein consisting of five identical, noncovalently bound, nonglycosylated subunits. Each subunit is composed of 206 amino acids with a molecular weight of approximately 24 kDa.
Produced by the liver, CRP levels rise dramatically during inflammatory processes. It initiates the classical complement cascade, binds to nuclear components such as chromatin and histones, and plays an essential role in innate immunity.
CRP acts as an opsonin, activates monocytes/macrophages, and functions as a scavenger during cell necrosis. Elevated CRP levels are associated with increased risk of hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
