The monoclonal antibody bg1fpj recognizes mouse CD369, also known as Dectin-1 or CLEC7A, a type II transmembrane protein in the C-type lectin family.
Its ligand is β1,3-glucan, a key polysaccharide component found in fungal, plant, and some bacterial cell walls. CD369 binds to organisms such as Candida, Aspergillus, Pneumocystis, Coccidioides, and Mycobacterium.

Ligand binding is calcium-dependent and signals through Syk kinase via the ITAM domain, leading to endocytosis/phagocytosis and cytokine production (IL-2, IL-6, IL-10, TNFα, IL-1β, IL-23). CD369 signaling has roles in Th17 and Th1 differentiation.

CD369 is primarily expressed on myeloid cells (neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells), with lower levels on lymphocytes and mucosal epithelium.

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse lysed whole blood cells at ≤0.125 µg/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody staining a 100 µL cell sample (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Titrate for optimal performance.

Target Information

CLEC7A (Dectin-1) belongs to the C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily and is mainly expressed on myeloid cells.
It is a type II membrane glycoprotein receptor with an extracellular C-type lectin-like domain and a cytoplasmic ITAM motif.
CLEC7A acts as a pattern-recognition receptor for β-1,3- and β-1,6-linked glucans from fungi and plants, playing a crucial role in innate immune responses. Upon fungal exposure, CLEC7A activates Syk tyrosine kinase, inducing reactive oxygen species formation.
