Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, while ensuring lot-to-lot consistency.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites, providing higher detection sensitivity for low abundance targets. Each lot is produced with a known mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability typical of traditional polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

NMDAR1 encodes a protein that is a critical subunit of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors, members of the glutamate receptor channel superfamily. These receptors are heteromeric protein complexes forming ligand-gated ion channels, playing a key role in synaptic plasticity underlying memory and learning.
Cell-specific factors may control expression of different isoforms, contributing to functional diversity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
