Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.

Functionally, these antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, offering higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot is produced with a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability typical of polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

The SPARC gene encodes a cysteine-rich acidic matrix-associated protein required for bone collagen calcification. It is involved in extracellular matrix synthesis and influences cell shape changes. SPARC has been linked to tumor suppression and metastasis due to its role in cell morphology and invasion. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
