Product Specific Information

Description:
The eBioA1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD39 (ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1, ENTPD1, or NTPDase). CD39 is an integral membrane protein with two transmembrane domains and exists as a homotetramer. It acts as the main ectoenzyme of the immune system, converting extracellular ATP to ADP or AMP, often functioning with CD73 to hydrolyze ATP. It is expressed on activated lymphocytes, subsets of T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, and weakly on monocytes and granulocytes.

CD39 and CD73 are also expressed on regulatory T cells (Treg), facilitating their migration into inflamed tissues with high extracellular ATP. Expression on Foxp3+CD4+ T cells ranges from 25–45%.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best results.

Target Information

CD39 is a 70–100 kDa cell surface antigen expressed on peripheral blood B cells, monocytes, T cell clones, and weakly on granulocytes. It has intrinsic ecto-ATPase activity and is induced on T cells and increased on B cells as a late activation antigen.
