Product Specific Information

This monoclonal mouse IgG2a kappa antibody is used as an isotype control for mouse IgG2a antibodies.
Reported applications include flow cytometric analysis.

Internal testing shows Alexa Fluor 561 non-specifically stains B cells in Swiss Webster and SJL mice, while no non-specific staining is observed in BALB/c or C57BL/6 mice. Other strains have not been tested.

Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells; use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Alexa Fluor 561 emits at 575 nm and is suitable for use on spectral cytometers, multiplexed with PE and PE-eFluor 610.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2a is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the second most abundant IgG subtype and plays a key role in adaptive immunity, including opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity.

It is widely used in research applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, and also in therapeutic research including immunotherapy and vaccine development.
