• Description: Monoclonal rat IgG2a kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
• Internal Testing: Alexa Fluor 561 non-specifically stains B cells in Swiss Webster and SJL mice. Non-specific staining not observed in BALB/c or C57BL/6 mice.
• Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• Fluorescence Properties: Excitation 558 nm; Emission 575 nm; Laser: Yellow-Green Laser.
  Alexa Fluor 561 emits at 575 nm and is suitable for spectral cytometers, multiplexed with PE and PE-eFluor 610.

Target Information

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass produced by the rat immune system, known for complement activation and ADCC mediation.
It has a molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa, composed of two heavy and two light chains.
Commonly used as a control antibody in experiments involving rat models, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry.
