The monoclonal mouse IgG1 kappa immunoglobulin is useful as an isotype control.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
- Internal Testing: Alexa Fluor 561 non-specifically stains B cells in Swiss Webster and SJL mice; no non-specific staining observed in BALB/c or C57BL/6 mice.
- Fluorophore Information: Alexa Fluor 561 emits at 575 nm and is suitable for spectral cytometers.
- Excitation: 558 nm

Target Information
Mouse IgG1 is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a key role in the adaptive immune response, including:
- Opsonization
- Complement activation
- Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
- Regulation of immune responses (T cell activation, B cell inhibition)
Mouse IgG1 is widely used in research and diagnostics such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, as well as in therapeutic research including immunotherapy and vaccine development.
