Target Information
Humanin은 알츠하이머병 영향을 받은 뇌에서 발견된 24 아미노산 폴리펩타이드로, 미토콘드리아 16S 리보솜 RNA와 99% 상동성을 가집니다. 이 단백질은 신경세포 사멸을 억제하는 신경보호 및 세포보호 인자로 작용하며, β-아밀로이드 및 FAD 유전자에 의해 유도되는 신경세포 사멸을 억제합니다.
또한 Bcl-2/Bax 계열의 항아폽토시스 인자와 결합하여 Bax, Bak, Bid, BimEL 등의 프로아폽토시스 활성을 억제하고, JAK/STAT 신호전달 경로를 활성화합니다. TRIM11에 의해 조절되며, IGFBP-3과 상호작용하여 교모세포종 세포에서 IGFBP-3 유도 세포사를 차단합니다. Humanin은 대장과 고환에서도 발현됩니다.
