Target Information
Humanin은 알츠하이머병이 영향을 미친 뇌에서 확인된 24 아미노산 폴리펩타이드로, 미토콘드리아 16S rRNA와 99% 상동성을 보입니다. 새로운 신경 보호 및 세포 보호 인자로서, β-아밀로이드와 FAD 유전자가 유도하는 신경세포 사멸을 억제합니다.
Bcl-2/Bax 계열의 친사멸 단백질(Bax, Bak, Bid, BimEL)에 결합하여 그 활성을 억제하고, JAK/STAT 신호전달 경로를 활성화합니다. 또한 IGFBP-3와 상호작용하여 IGFBP-3 유도성 세포사멸을 차단하며, 대장 및 고환에서도 발현됩니다.
