Target Information
Humanin은 알츠하이머병 관련 뇌에서 발견된 24 아미노산 폴리펩타이드로, 미토콘드리아 16S rRNA와 99% 상동성을 가집니다. 이 단백질은 신경세포 사멸을 억제하는 신경보호 및 세포보호因자로 작용하며, β-아밀로이드 및 FAD 유전자로 유도된 세포사멸을 FPRL1 수용체 접근을 경쟁적으로 억제하여 방지합니다. 또한 Bcl-2/Bax 계열의 친사멸 단백질(Bax, Bak, Bid, BimEL)에 결합해 그들의 활성을 억제하고, JAK/STAT 신호경로를 활성화합니다. TRIM11에 의해 조절되며 IGFBP-3과 상호작용하여 glioblastoma 세포에서 IGFBP-3 유도 세포사멸을 차단합니다. Humanin은 대장과 고환에서도 발현됩니다.
