Neutralization: When used at 1–3 µg/mL, this antibody blocks approximately 50% of the binding of 30 ng/mL recombinant human activin A to immobilized recombinant human activin receptor IIB/Fc chimera (100 µL of a 0.5 µg/mL solution coating each well) in an ELISA assay.
Target Information
ACVR2B is a type II receptor in the TGF-beta family of serine/threonine kinases and is involved in activin and myostatin signaling pathways. Activins and inhibins belong to the TGF-beta superfamily, sharing conserved cysteine residues characteristic of this group. Multiple splice variants of activin receptor IIA and IIB have been identified in mammals.
