Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and serves as a co-receptor for HIV.
It is primarily expressed in T helper cells but also in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 is detectable in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of brain and gut.
CD4 functions to initiate or augment early T-cell activation via association with the T-cell receptor complex and Lck kinase.
It may also mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
