For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV.
It is primarily expressed in T helper cells, but can also be found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
Tissue expression includes thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and regions in the brain and gut.
CD4 associates with the T-cell receptor complex and protein tyrosine kinase Lck to enhance T-cell activation.
Additionally, CD4 may mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
