Target Information
Myc는 원암유전자(proto-oncogene)로, 세포 주기 진행, 세포자멸사(apoptosis), 세포 변형(cellular transformation)에 관여하는 핵 인산단백질을 암호화합니다.
이 단백질은 전사 인자 MAX와 이합체를 형성하여 E box DNA 서열에 결합하고 특정 표적 유전자의 전사를 조절합니다.
이 유전자의 증폭은 다양한 인간 암에서 자주 관찰되며, Burkitt 림프종 및 다발성 골수종과 관련된 전좌(translocation)가 보고되어 있습니다.
비정상적인 번역 개시로 인해 N-말단이 다른 두 가지 이소형이 생성될 수 있습니다.
