Reconstitute the lyophilized antibody with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
GenScript THE™ c-Myc Antibody [HRP], mAb, Mouse is immunoaffinity purified from mouse ascites with protein A and conjugated to horseradish peroxidase.
This monoclonal antibody is suitable for detecting the expression level of c-Myc in fusion proteins.


Target Information

Myc is a proto-oncogene encoding a nuclear phosphoprotein that regulates cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and cellular transformation.
It forms a heterodimer with transcription factor MAX, binding to the E-box DNA consensus sequence to regulate transcription of target genes.
Amplification of this gene is frequently observed in various human cancers.
Translocations involving Myc are associated with Burkitt lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
Translation initiates from both an upstream non-AUG (CUG) and a downstream AUG start site, producing two isoforms with distinct N-termini.
