GenScript THE™ beta Actin Antibody [HRP], mAb, Mouse is HRP-conjugated THE™ beta Actin Antibody, mAb, Mouse (A00702) purified from mouse ascites by Protein G affinity chromatography.
This product serves as a specific tool for studying intracellular distribution of beta-actin and the static and dynamic aspects of the cytoskeleton.
Do not add azide, as it inhibits HRP activity.
Target Information
Beta actin is one of six actin isoforms identified in humans. It is a non-muscle cytoskeletal protein found in all human cell types, involved in cell motility, structure, and integrity.
Beta and gamma actin coexist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton. Beta actin polymerizes from globular actin (G-actin) to filamentous actin (F-actin), forming a two-stranded helix.
Due to its ubiquitous expression, beta actin is commonly used as a loading control in protein detection assays such as Western blotting. Antibodies to beta-actin are valuable tools for studying cytoskeletal organization and dynamics.
