Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody recognizes both native and recombinant mouse MIP-3 alpha in cell supernatants and certain body fluids. A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.
Target Information
Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-3 alpha (MIP-3α), also known as CCL20, is expressed in the liver, lungs, lymph nodes, and peripheral blood lymphocytes. MIP-3α is upregulated by inflammatory signals and downregulated by the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. It signals through the G protein-coupled receptor CCR6 and acts as a chemoattractant for lymphocytes and dendritic cells.
