Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences are cloned from immunoreactive rabbits, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Improved specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

NFKB1 or NFKB2 binds to REL, RELA, or RELB to form the NFKB complex. This complex is inhibited by I-kappa-B proteins (NFKBIA or NFKBIB), which trap NF-kappa-B in the cytoplasm.
Phosphorylation of serine residues on I-kappa-B proteins by kinases (IKBKA or IKBKB) targets them for destruction via the ubiquitination pathway, allowing activation of the NF-kappa-B complex.
Activated NFKB translocates into the nucleus and binds DNA at kappa-B-binding motifs (5'-GGGRNNYYCC-3' or 5'-HGGARNYYCC-3').
For some genes, activation requires interaction with transcription factors such as STAT, AP1, and NFAT.
