Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences are cloned from immunoreactive rabbits, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The PKC family of serine/threonine kinases, including PRKCB1 (PKC beta I), is activated by intracellular signal transduction pathways. In humans, at least 12 PKC isoforms are known, differing in structure, tissue distribution, localization, and substrate specificity.
Conventional PKC members (alpha, beta I, beta II, gamma) are Ca²⁺- and phospholipid-dependent. PKC family members phosphorylate diverse protein targets and play key roles in cellular signaling, acting as receptors for phorbol esters (tumor promoters).
PKC beta-1 is involved in various cellular functions such as B cell activation, apoptosis induction, endothelial proliferation, and intestinal sugar absorption. Mouse studies suggest roles in neuronal regulation and stress-related behavior. Multiple alternatively spliced isoforms have been reported.
