• Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
• After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
• Shelf life after reconstitution: approximately 18 months.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
• Mouse anti-Human CD62P antibody (clone Psel.KO.2.5) recognizes the CD62P cell surface antigen (~140 kDa glycoprotein, also known as P-selectin).

Target Information

P-selectin (Selectin P, GMP-140, LECAM3, CD62 antigen-like family member) is a 140 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell rolling regulation. It is stored in Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells and α-granules of platelets. Upon activation by thrombin, histamine, complement 5a, Ca²⁺ ionophores, or adenosine diphosphate, it translocates to the cell surface.

P-selectin mediates adhesion between activated endothelial cells or platelets and leukocytes through calcium-dependent binding to sialylated Lewis blood group carbohydrate antigens. It plays a key role in inflammation, atherogenesis, thrombosis, and tissue destruction. Clinically, it helps distinguish heparin-induced thrombocytopenia with or without thrombosis.
