Product Specific Information
- This antibody does not react with bovine, dog, rat, or sheep.
- Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water. After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4ºC in the dark.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
- Mouse anti-Human CD34 antibody, clone QBEND/10, recognizes the human CD34 antigen (Hematopoietic progenitor cell antigen CD34).
Target Information
CD34 is a highly glycosylated monomeric surface protein (111–115 kDa) expressed on various stem cell populations. It serves as a stem cell marker and may function as an adhesion molecule involved in hematopoietic stem cell regulation, differentiation, and proliferation. CD34 expression represents specific stages of hematopoietic development and may mediate attachment to bone marrow extracellular matrix or stromal cells. It may also act as a scaffold for glycans, facilitating interactions with selectins. The intracellular chain is phosphorylated by protein kinase C, indicating a role in signal transduction.
Diseases associated with CD34 dysfunction include dermatofibrosarcoma and neurofibroma.
