Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Improved specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody is specific for Mouse EphA2.
Target Information
EPHA2 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors are implicated in developmental events, particularly in the nervous system. EPHA2 is overexpressed in many types of human cancers.
The tyrosine kinase (TK) group regulates cell-cell interactions such as differentiation, adhesion, motility, and death. Approximately 90 TK genes are known—58 receptor protein TKs (e.g., EGFR, EPH, FGFR, PDGFR, TRK, VEGFR families) and 32 cytosolic TKs (e.g., ABL, FAK, JAK, SRC families).
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
