This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
FAS (Fas, CD95, APO-1) is a 46 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein that functions as a cell death receptor of the TNFR superfamily. It also exists in a soluble form (~26 kDa). Stimulation of FAS leads to aggregation of FAS-associated death domains (FADD), formation of the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC), and activation of caspases, resulting in apoptosis.
FAS can activate NF-κB, MAPK3/ERK1, MAPK8/JNK, and is involved in proliferative signaling in fibroblasts and T cells. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, with some lacking the transmembrane domain and negatively regulating apoptosis.
The Fas/Fas ligand system plays roles in diseases such as AIDS, hepatitis, and cancer, and is involved in antiviral immune responses via induction of apoptosis.
