Target Information
TARC ligand (CCL17) belongs to the CC chemokine family. It is a small cytokine located on chromosome 16 (q arm) in humans.
TARC specifically binds to T-cells and interacts with chemokine receptors CCR4 and CCR8, playing an important role in:
- T cell development in the thymus
- Trafficking and activation of mature T cells
