Each Superclonal™ antibody lot contains a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring consistent performance across batches and eliminating biological variability typical of polyclonal production.
Formerly called “Recombinant Polyclonal Antibody”, this product is now branded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ Antibody” with identical physical and functional properties.
Target Information
The MCP-1 (CCL2) gene encodes a cytokine located on chromosome 17q. It belongs to the CXC chemokine family, characterized by two cysteines separated by a single amino acid. MCP-1 exhibits chemotactic activity for monocytes and basophils but not for neutrophils or eosinophils.
It plays a role in inflammatory diseases with monocytic infiltration, such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and atherosclerosis. MCP-1 binds to chemokine receptors CCR2 and CCR4.
