Target Information
MMP13 (collagenase 3)는 fibrillar collagen, fibronectin, TNC, ACAN 등 세포외기질 단백질 분해에 관여합니다.
Type I, II, III collagen을 절단하며, 특히 soluble type II collagen에 높은 활성을 보입니다.
또한 collagen type IV, XIV, X도 분해할 수 있습니다.
MMP13은 상처 치유, 조직 재형성, 연골 분해, 골 발달, 무기질화, 골화 과정에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
정상적인 배아기 골 발달과 골화에 필수적이며, 유전자 변이는 다음 질환과 관련됩니다:
- Spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia Missouri type
- Metaphyseal anadysplasia 1
- Metaphyseal dysplasia Sphar type
