For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MMP13 (collagenase 3) is involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins such as fibrillar collagen, fibronectin, tenascin-C (TNC), and aggrecan (ACAN).
It cleaves triple-helical collagens (type I, II, and III) with the highest activity against soluble type II collagen.
MMP13 also degrades collagen types IV, XIV, and X, and plays roles in wound healing, tissue remodeling, cartilage degradation, bone development, mineralization, and ossification.
Mutations in MMP13 are associated with skeletal disorders including spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia Missouri type, metaphyseal anadysplasia 1, and metaphyseal dysplasia Sphar type.
