Target Information
CHEK2 (CHK2) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in the DNA damage checkpoint pathway. Mutations in CHK2 are linked to various cancers, including Li-Fraumeni syndrome, sarcomas, breast cancer, and brain tumors.
CHK2 is activated by DNA damage and phosphorylates modulators of cell cycle control, such as tumor suppressor proteins and BRCA1, aiding in DNA repair and cell survival.
